2nd Annual Palm Desert Century

A public recreational road bicycle event held in the desert areas of Coachella Valley.  The Palm Desert Century rolls on Saturday, November 10th, 2012 from it's Start/Finish in the new grassy University Park on Cook St.  The Presenting Sponsor is the Desert Recreation District and the Official Event Charity is the Trips for Kids Coachella Valley Program.  The Palm Desert Century (PDC) is produced by Shadow Tour, LLC.

Course:  The course design is out-and-back, from Palm Desert to Chiriaco Summit, and back.  This allows riders to select customized distances from 20 - 100 miles based on personal conditioning levels and the weather on the day of the ride.  Full century riders may participate an optional chip-timed solo 15-mile time trial up the gentle Chiriaco Summit grade from Mecca, below Sea Level, to Chiriaco Summit, el 1,300 ft.  Mostly low traffic roads & pristine desert scenery flanked. by the soaring San Jacinto mountains make this another marquee safe, scenic and sensational century ride on roads less traveled Shadow Tour century experience.

Trips for Kids:  The PDC is also an important fundraising event supporting the Trips for Kids program.  Riders are encouraged to make donations to Trips for Kids through the Donation Page, which is provided on the website.
